Keith Mercer, known as the "Mentality Expert," is dedicated to helping individuals unlock their inherent talents, with a proven track record of success. As the founder and CEO of Mercer Elite Academy, Keith believes that everyone has the potential to achieve greatness. With extensive expertise in mentoring, leadership coaching, public speaking, sports training, and business, he shares effective and practical strategies to overcome obstacles through self-motivation and positivity.
At Mercer Elite Academy, Keith focuses on cultivating leadership skills that drive success across all areas of life. What makes Keith unique from other speakers?
Keith's journey of perseverance and triumph distinguishes him from other speakers. Growing up as an African-American man in Washington, DC, and Capitol Heights, Maryland, Keith encountered significant adversities, including violence, drugs, racism, and poverty—circumstances beyond his control as a child.
Despite these obstacles, Keith chose not to let other people’s perceptions and the circumstances he faced become his reality or future. Keith cultivated a "Championship Mentality," propelling him to succeed. As part of the Nebraska Cornhusker Football Championship team, Keith won the Big 8 Championship in 1993 and competed in the 1993 Orange Bowl with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Drawing from his lived experiences, Keith founded Mercer Elite Academy in Iowa, where he shares his unique strategies for overcoming adversity. His strategy for success focuses on developing leadership skills and the mental aspects of success, such as fostering a championship mentality and understanding one’s unique role within a team. As a speaker, coach, and mentor, Keith strives to inspire individuals of all ages to surpass average and achieve greatness. His ultimate goal is to guide others on their journey to realizing their full potential.
